Information we collect
Rockstar Process Serving collects the following information when you use this site:
- Your name, email, and phone, collected at billing.
- Your account email and a password, when you set one.
- The job: the names and addresses of the people to be served, the case and court details, and the papers uploaded for that job.
- Payment status. Card numbers are entered in Stripe’s form. We do not store the card number.
- A message sent through the contact form, including its subject and any files attached to it.
- The IP address and browser user agent stored with a sign-in session.
We also collect technical information about a visit: the pages viewed, the referring site, the browser type, and the date and time. The tools in the next sections collect this from every visit, including from visitors who never sign in or pay.
Cookies
This site sets these cookies in your browser:
rps_sessionkeeps you signed in until you sign out. It renews while you use the site.rps_cartremembers the services and quantities in the cart for 30 days. It does not hold a name or an address.rps_themeremembers light or dark for a year.rps_vidholds a random identifier that tells one browser’s visits apart, so we can count visitors and see which pages lead to an order. It lasts a year, it does not hold a name or an email address, and it is only sent to us.
Closing an unpaid checkout keeps a draft of that checkout in the browser for that tab only.
Other parties set cookies when their tools run:
- Google Analytics sets its own cookies, for about two years, to tell visits apart.
- Smartlook sets its own cookie, for about 13 months, to tell a session and a visitor apart. It records the visit, including text shown on the page. It does not record what is typed into a form field, and it does not record the card form.
- Stripe sets cookies needed to take the payment and to detect fraud, and only when the card form is on the page.
A visitor who blocks cookies in the browser can still read the site. Signing in, the cart, and payment can stop working.
Who else receives it
We share information with these parties, for these reasons:
- Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used.
- Smartlook, to record and replay visits.
- Vercel, which hosts the site and measures page views without a cookie.
- Stripe, to take the card payment.
- Resend, to send the transactional email.
- Google Cloud Storage, to store uploaded papers.
- Google Fonts, which the browser requests so the page can load its type. That request includes the IP address. Google Fonts does not set a cookie.
Staff and contractors see the information they need to run the job.
We do not sell personal information.
We disclose information when the law requires it, such as a subpoena or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights of Rockstar Process Serving, other people, or the public.
If Rockstar Process Serving, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or if the business goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets transferred to the buyer. Any acquirer may continue to use that information as described in this policy.
Google Analytics, Smartlook, and Stripe may collect information about activity on this site. We do not control whether they combine it with information from other sites.
Do Not Track
Browsers offer a Do Not Track signal. This site does not respond to Do Not Track signals. The tools in the previous section still run.
