Main Street and the East County court

El Cajon is where East County court business happens. The East County Division of San Diego Superior Court is on Main Street, in the downtown grid, so for an El Cajon address that division is the nearest because it is here. Central is west on Interstate 8, toward downtown San Diego. North County is in Vista. South County is in Chula Vista. None of those is closer.

The city sits in the valley where I-8 runs east. Fletcher Parkway carries a lot of the commercial addresses on the west side. Gillespie Field, the small airport, is on the east side of town. Houses, apartments, and storefronts in all of those areas are standard coverage: four attempts, no rural surcharge. Towns farther up I-8 are a different tier. Do not add a rural fee because the address says East County. El Cajon proper is the metro price. The office is still Mission Valley. There is no local storefront next to the courthouse. Main Street and Broadway are the downtown pair, and they are not the whole city. Fletcher Parkway on the west side is commercial. The hills on the north and south edges are residential and the streets wind. Gillespie Field's side of town, east of downtown, has industrial addresses mixed with houses. A server can hit two of those areas in one day and still be inside El Cajon. Tell us if the serve is a shop that closes at 5 or a house where evenings are better. The four attempts can be spaced across those hours. The price is the same either way.

Attempts and the three rates

A server going to the address is the in-person product. Same day is $195, with the first attempt on that business day. Next day is $175. Standard is $150, and the first of the four attempts comes within one to three days. Notes and a proof of service are included. A declaration of due diligence follows if those attempts do not end in service. Self-represented parties in San Diego County cases have the proof of service/declaration mailed to the court. Proofs for any other court are returned to the customer to file.

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm PST, at 619-399-3278. After closing, the next business day is when new orders are processed. The company is licensed and bonded.
