Julian process server

Call before you order

Julian is a mountain town on Highway 78 and Highway 79. Main Street is the short downtown, and on a weekend it is crowded with visitors. That traffic is one reason this page is extra-rural rather than a normal online order. Julian is $100 over the service price, and the serve includes two attempts, not four. You have to call the office before you order. The website form alone is not enough. Call 619-399-3278, Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm PST, and wait for the office to confirm the job can be taken.

Service attempts are also made outside of these office hours.

The base prices, before the $100, are same day $195, next day $175, and standard $150. Extra-rural adds $100 to the one you pick, and it cuts the attempts to two. A standard Julian serve is $150 plus $100, with two attempts. Same day is $195 plus $100. Next day is $175 plus $100. If the office cannot take the trip, do not leave the order sitting on the form.

A long drive to the nearest court

Of the four San Diego Superior Court divisions, East County in El Cajon is the nearest. It is not nearby. The drive is down the mountain and then to El Cajon. Vista and downtown San Diego are farther. Naming El Cajon as nearest is about distance among the four divisions, not about a quick errand. There is no Julian office. The only office is in Mission Valley, San Diego. A server is coming from the coast side of the county, over the 78. That is the $100.

In person still means a server at the address with the papers, after the phone confirmation. Same day is a first attempt the business day the order is accepted. Next day is the next day. Standard is within one to three days. You get two attempts, notes, and a proof of service. If those two do not serve the person, you receive a declaration of due diligence. A San Diego County case for someone representing themselves gets the proof of service/declaration mailed to the court. Any other court gets the proof back to file. The company is licensed and bonded. After hours, even a confirmed job waits for the next business day.

After the office says yes

Once the office has said yes, the order page is where the paperwork is entered. Read same-day process serving if the first of the two attempts has to be today. Read the proof of service guide for the mailing rule. The areas page includes the towns that do not need a pre-call. Ramona is down the 78, rural at $45, with three attempts, and it can be ordered without calling first. Borrego Springs is the other extra-rural page, out in the desert, with the same call-first rule.
