San Diego County
Military base service
The military base add-on is $65 at any San Diego County base. It is added to a serve. Fees are refunded if the attempt cannot be arranged with base approval.
Sixty-five dollars on top of a serve
Military base service is a $65 add-on. It covers an attempt at any military base in San Diego County. It is not a price by itself. You still order same day service at $195, next day at $175, or standard at $150. The $65 is the base access piece. The serve price is the attempts and the proof that go with that speed.
We are a licensed and bonded process server. The office is at 3111 Camino Del Rio North, Suite 400A, San Diego, CA 92108, open Mon–Fri, 7am–5pm PST. We do not have a private right to drive onto a base. The add-on pays for the work of setting up an attempt the base will allow. It does not buy a waiver of base rules.
Service attempts are also made outside of these office hours.
Approval comes first
Base approval is required. We arrange the attempt with that approval. If the base will not allow the visit, we do not force it. Send the base name, and any unit, building, or gate detail you have. A last name and the word “Navy” is a weak start. The more precise the location, the more useful the request we submit.
Orders placed after closing are processed the next business day. Approval is not instant. Do not expect a same-day serve on a base just because you also bought the $195 speed. The same-day clock applies when the attempt can actually be made. If approval is still pending, we will tell you where the file sits. We will not pretend we are at the door.
When the fee comes back
Fees are refunded if the attempt cannot be arranged with base approval. That is the rule for this add-on. The refund applies when we cannot set the attempt up. It is not a refund because the person was off duty after an approved attempt was made. An attempt that happens and misses is still an attempt.
Read that split carefully before you order. No arrangement, fees back. An arranged attempt that does not find the person follows the attempt rules of the serve you bought. Four attempts are the usual count on same day, next day, and standard. Rural attempt counts are a different surcharge and do not replace the base fee.
What to include with the papers
Upload the documents and the case caption. Add the person’s rank and unit if you know them. Add a phone or an email if you have one, but do not assume email service replaces the base attempt. Email service is a separate $60 product with one attempt. This page is about getting onto the base.
A specific date and time is $30 if you need the attempt in a window and the base schedule allows it. A stakeout at a civilian address is $80 per hour and is not how base access works. Printing is $.30 per page after the first 40 pages. An extra person at the same on-base address, on an in-person serve, is $40. Call 619-399-3278 if you are not sure the address is inside the gate.
Custody is a different service
A service member in jail or prison is not this add-on. Incarceration service is not on the order form. The first attempt on that work is within 1–3 days, with four attempts. Do not add a $65 base line and hope it covers a brig or a civilian jail.
We do not give advice about the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act or about which papers a command will accept. We attempt service when the base approves the arrangement. For self-represented people, proofs of service/declarations on the underlying San Diego County serve are mailed to San Diego County courts. The base fee does not change that mailing. It changes whether the attempt can be set up at all.
